Graduate Chapter of the Month - April 2021: Iota Nu Chapter (Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD)

​

Notable Impact: Iota Nu Chapter's Talent Hunt 2021 was a huge success for Harford and Cecil Counties.  The chapter has partnered with the American Red Cross to facilitate the Dr. Charles R. Drew Community Blood Drive at White Marsh Mall where all blood donors will receive a COVID-19 Antibody Test which may also identify the presence of antibodies developed after receiving a COVID-19 vaccine. 

 

Undergraduate Chapter of the Month - April 2021: Iota Epsilon Chapter (Towson University)

​

Notable Impact: Iota Epsilon Chapter hosted a discussion on love languages and relationships for the Towson University students.  The chapter also worked with the Towson NPHC on the topic of, "Being D9 at a PIW: The NPHC Experience at PWIs."  Finally, Iota Epsilong Chapter had a workshop on sexual assault awareness and consent.

Feeding Across the Corridor

The Second District continues to partner with the Maryland Food Bank. Food can be picked up at the Pi Omega Frat House, 2003 Presbury Street, Baltimore, MD 21217 on the following dates:

 

• February 27, 2021 at 8 am

• March 20, 2021 at 8am

• April 24, 2021 at 8am 

• May 22, 2021 at 8am

• June 26, 2021 at 8 am

 

 

Brothers can have a minimum of 40 cases of food. As in the past, the Brothers/Chapters who have the longest trip will be loaded first

​Black History Month and Beyond Blood Drive

Over the next 90 days (February 14th through May 14th) Corridor I will be participating in the "Black History Month and Beyond (Dr. Drew's Vision)" Blood Drive. I am asking at least one Brother from each Chapter donate blood. Brothers are being asked to call or go online to make an appointment for blood donation. - Blood site donation centers -   When making a donation please take a picture and include your name, chapter, donation site, and donation date. An award will be given to the top three chapters who donate the most blood. Pictures and blood count are due by May 21, 2021. The awards will be presented on Friday, June 4, 2021. Brothers are encouraged to ask participation from family and friends.
